Harry Potter/Vampire/Modern
The Salazar family originated at random places in the world. Godfrey Salazar was the first of the Salazar family. He came from a Viking tribe in the North. He then created the others, making a little "family" out of boredom mostly, but he never turned anyone unless they were going to die anyway, and only if they struck him as interesting.

Godfrey was always interested in the finer things in life. Being a viking explorer he ended up in England - He loved to learn, to gain knowledge, so while the others were pillaging churches, and raping women - Godfrey was busy reading books, learning, trying to gather as much information as he could. He made friends with a priest - one whom he later turned into a vampire. Where did he start out? How did the vampire curse hit Godfrey? He doesn't really talk about it, but it had to do with a magical curse from a group of sister witches. He was the first of his kind, along with two others in the village. Each going their separate ways.
